Hope springs eternal

Springtime brings with it much anticipation and hope. We have planted our spring gardens and are patiently waiting for the time when we can start harvesting the delicate spring vegetables. We have also begun the task of tilling, and planting of the summer gardens. A host of potatoes, tomatoes, cabbages, corn, carrots, and lettuces have been planted. We also have pumpkins, squash and other root vegetables in the ground. Soon we will plant the flowers we use as natural insect repellents as well... Read Full Post »

It had been warm enough to coax the birds and the spring peepers into song. It also sent the farm animals into the... Read Full Post »

Getting things done

Still working on the site and trying to get it updated. It's taking a little longer than I expected . The weather's getting a little warmer and there will be a lot to do outdoors soon. It will be time to plant and then time to harvest. We re-roofed the garage last year and the barn looks like it needs some work as well. It seems like somethig always needs to be done. The farm is a work in progress....much like life itself.
